hey Kyle - how about giving the 'byzantine' element a bit more love? Byzantine interiors are celebrated for their complexity and beauty! http://www.cartage.org.lb/en/themes/arts/architec/MiddleAgesArchitectural/EarlyChristianByzantine/ByzantineArchitecturePhotos/gallaplacidiab.jpg
Just because your character is a cannibal doesn't necessarily mean that he lives in this dungeon of yours - he could be a powerful priest who believes if you eat the hearts of people he will live forever. It's fab that you're pushing your ideas out, but give the Byzantine bit more room to breathe; i know you're excited about the cannibal bit - but go exploring in another direction or two for a while.
Hey Kyle, really like these, nice style! I like number 27 for it's information and detail but I agree with Heidi in regards to perspective of number 29! :D Also look at this link: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=immortal+rain&rlz=1C1DVCJ_enGB560&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=uadzUuS4A8W47AarkYDgCA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=1109
