After a look at the first Maya tutorial decide to experiment in the program. The test took me about 40 mins and is my very first attempt at modelling in Maya. I think it turned out quite well.
Good job Kyle! Since I don't see your wireframe, I just want to remind you to always make sure that your topolgy is always quads (means that it is 4 sided) If there is any 3 or 5 sided polygons, it will cause problem when texturing and uv mapping later :) Maya's gonna be so much fun! :D
